To support National Theatre Accessibility Programs, including the National Theatre Open Captioning Initiative and the National Autism Theatre Initiative, for theaters around the United States. These programs make live theater accessible to audiences who are deaf and hard of hearing, as well as to children and adults on the autism spectrum, helping to expand and diversify audiences throughout the country.
Established in 1968, the Theatre Development Fund provides programs to engage with theater and dance, which promote access, education and conversation. Since 1979, Theatre Development Fund’s Accessibility Programs offer services and seats to popular productions for theatergoers with physical and sensory disabilities.
