To support the development of additional interpretive educational and public material for the Greek collection.
Founded in 1934, the Walters Art Museum has a collection of more than 35,000 objects, from European master paintings and decorative arts, to Greek and Roman antiquities and Far Eastern ceramics, to ancient Egyptian mummy masks and medieval armor, to 19th century French impressionism and turn-of- the-century art deco. The Walters has one of the finest collections of Greek art in the United States. The collection provides an overview from the Early Bronze Age (2500 B.C.) to the end of the Hellenistic period (1st century B.C.).
