This grant supports the establishment of an endowment for Byzantine Studies as part of Notre Dame’s Medieval Institute, which will support new tenure-track faculty positions in Byzantine theology and history, conferences and symposia, visiting lecturers, and library acquisitions, all to help create a robust hub of research and teaching in the field of Byzantine studies.
