For endowing The Niarchos Foundation Greek Classics Program. The Program allows fifteen students from the eighth, ninth and tenth grades to study classical Greek culture, geography, philosophy, mythology, art and architecture. Upon successful completion of the course, eight students who have demonstrated academic excellence participate in the ten-day summer program in Greece, allowing them to place the knowledge gained from the course in its physical context.
The SEED School of Washington, D.C., founded in 1998 by the SEED Foundation, is the first urban public boarding school in the U.S. The SEED Foundation partners with urban communities to provide innovative educational opportunities to prepare underserved students for success in college. It has created an innovative and sustainable boarding school model that includes a college preparatory academic program and a student life program that teaches life skills and provides a safe and secure environment 24 hours a day.
