To support The Friends of Education of The Museum of Modern Art, which fosters a greater appreciation of art created by African American artists and encourages African American participation and membership at MoMA.

Founded in 1929, MoMA is dedicated to being one of the foremost museums of modern art. The museum establishes, preserves and documents a permanent collection of modern and contemporary art; presents exhibitions and educational programs; sustains a library, archives, and conservation laboratory for research; and supports scholarship and publications.
