The Movement for Non-Mobile Children (whizz-kIDZ)

Program support

The grant supports the delivery—over the period of two years—of redesigned Wheelchair Skills Training courses that will allow the individualization of services, enabling children with disabilities to use their equipment properly and fully, leading to reduced isolation.

Established in 1990 to address the inadequate provision of support for young wheelchair users, Whizz-Kidz works to enable disabled children to lead fun and active childhoods and reach their full potential. Its flagship activities include the provision of vital mobility equipment and support and life skills, including wheelchair skills training sessions, residential camps and work placements as well as youth supporting groups that take action to make the voices of disabled children heard.
