The Friends of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Kastoria

Restoration

For completion of the restoration of Picheon Manor and its transformation into the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Kastoria.

Picheon Manor is a historic two-story building located in the heart of the city of Kastoria. As a museum, the building will house artifacts and exhibits related to the Struggle and will feature a library and reading room to attract students and scholars of local and national history.

The Friends of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Kastoria was founded in 1993 to establish a Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in the city of Kastoria, which served as the Struggle’s center of operations. The organization also organizes historic exhibits and lectures on the Struggle, studies Kastoria’s contribution to the Struggle, and is working to establish a library and study hall.

The Municipality of Kastoria gave Picheon Manor to the organization in 2005  for use as a Museum.
