For implementing a training program for health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, etc.) to become further qualified to provide psychological support to atients suffering from cancer and their families.
 
The Society of Social Psychiatry and Mental Health, established in 1981, maintains in Attica and across the country seven residential homes, twenty protected apartments, two mobile units and a day-care center in central Athens. The Society supports 2,360 patients nationally who suffer from cancer and their families.
