For costumes and artifacts preservation.
This grant will allow Anagenesis to work with a textile conservator from a renowned fine arts museum in New York to place costumes, many of which date back more than 100 years, in archival storage and treatment. A climate control system will also be installed in the floor of the building that serves as the Society’s museum.
The Society of Epirotes was founded in 1934 to provide educational and cultural programming on the ancient and contemporary history of Epirus. There are currently about 350 members. The Society places particular emphasis on preserving Greek language, religion and cultural traditions.
