School-Home Support Service (UK)

Program support
The grant supports the organisation’s pilot intervention program in nurseries and primary education in Bradford over 3 years.

School – Home Support Service (UK) started providing support to children in London areas in 1984, and was registered as a charity in its current form in 2001. Its objective is to identify hard-to-reach children and families in need, in collaboration with schools, and support them in order to address barriers to a child’s education, be they poverty, family breakdown or other issues. SHS primarily places practitioners within the school, who conduct both targeted casework with families, and provide general support around parental engagement.
