Research program

For a research program for the prevention and treatment of skin cancer. Prevention remains a public health priority in reducing skin cancer. This program seeks to use the technique of Electron Spin Resonance spectroscopy to understand the effects on human skin of exposure to UVA and visible light.  Another objective of the research is to develop and assess skin anti-oxidant protections. On the therapeutic side, the program will investigate the therapeutic potential of certain antioxidants.

Established in 1988, RAFT is dedicated to preventing skin cancer and improving its treatment and that of major traumas such as burns through advances in medical research and reconstructive plastic surgery.
