Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy

Program support
To support a program to train law enforcement leaders in preventing and investigating crimes against children and to offer public outreach programs aiming to address concerns, raise awareness of such crimes, and promote safe behavior among parents and children in the communities served by the Academy.

Since 1978, the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy has provided professional development programs for officers of various public safety agencies in northern Virginia. It is the largest such organization in Virginia, providing courses on two campuses with instructors from local, state, and federal agencies.  The Academy’s wide range of basic and advanced courses for law enforcement, corrections, animal control and communications officers helps agencies improve the quality of service in their communities.
