Pro-Natura International

Expedition
For the scientific expedition Papua New Guinea 2012-2013. This initiative is launched by Pro-Natura International and its partner, the National Museum of Natural History. The overall goal of the expedition is to improve estimates of the magnitude of biodiversity, regionally and globally, in the context of climate change. 150 scientists and technicians from various countries and institutions are involved in all the different expeditions of the initiative. 

Pro-Natura International (PNI) was started in Brazil in 1985 and is a non-governmental organization that specializes in sustainable development. PNI's mission is closely aligned to the objectives of the United Nations conventions on biodiversity, climate change and combating desertification.
