Panakeia

Vehicle & Program Support
The grant supports the purchase of a bus, used to transfer patients to and from the organization’s centers, the maintenance of their main building, and the creation of a “Help at Home” service. The bus purchase will eliminate an important monthly cost. The maintenance of the main building will allow the organization to re-engage in important activities, such as recreational events for its residents. The creation of the Help at Home service will enable them to conduct visits to Alzheimer patients at home, throughout Rhodes and other islands in the Dodecanese.

Panakeia was founded in 2003 and is a leader in mental health care. It provides four main services through a hostel for the mentally disabled, a day center for social and psychological rehabilitation, a center for the chronically mentally ill, and a day center for Alzheimer’s patients.
