Contribution to the Catastrophe Fund
For the Catastrophe Fund.  The purpose of the Fund is to ensure that Oxfam is in the best possible position to respond to a disaster by providing equipment and key personnel within 24 hours from the onset of an emergency. The organization maintains a warehouse in Biscester stocked with water tanks and pumps, water purification and sanitation equipment, and shelter materials to be used as a first line of defense in a disaster. The warehouse is staffed 24 hours a day. Oxfam also relies on a team of 90 trained and experienced humanitarian support personnel, including water engineers, project managers, logisticians, nutritionists and public health advisors.
