To support the Hellenic American Emergency Medicine Exchange (HAEME) program at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens (NYHQ), aiming to address the need for rigorous, hands-on training in emergency medicine among physicians in Greece. The HAEME Fellowships will provide four qualified physicians annually with an intensive 3-month training program, which will enable them to learn the critical aspects of emergency medicine as practiced in a Level I Trauma center that features a fully accredited emergency medicine residency program.
NYHQ owns, maintains and operates a multiple-bed voluntary, not-for-profit community hospital, located in the country’s most ethnically diverse neighborhood, Flushing, Queens. NYHQ’s Department of Emergency Medicine has extensive experience in training physicians in its three-year emergency medicine residency program.
