National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Institution

This grant supports the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the first national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, art, history, and culture. The grant also supports the naming of a Reflection Area at the museum in honor of Archbishop Iakovos of America, an ardent supporter of civil rights.
