National Library of Greece

Program support

The grant supports the creation of the inventory of the NLG’s manuscript collection, one of its most important and valuable collections. Some of these holdings include collections of the dependency of the Holy Sepulchre.

The National Library of Greece was founded in 1832 and its mission is to collect, organize and disseminate to the public written products of science and culture that relate to Greece. The Library contains a large collection of books, journals, audiovisual material, portraits and manuscripts, an important number of which are of great significance.
