For the support of the Museum’s educational programs, with an emphasis on the participation of schools from underprivileged areas in Attica.

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art has a multifaceted mission concerned with children’s art.  It presents, preserves and promotes children’s art, develops their aesthetics and creativity, cultivates children’s contact with all forms of art, conducts an annual nationwide art contest, hosts temporary exhibitions of children’s art, and exchanges exhibitions with other museums, art workshops and relevant institutions in Greece and abroad. The Museum places a priority on its educational role.  It organizes various educational programs for pre-school and primary school pupils, including programs for children with special needs, children’s activity workshops and seminars, and workshops for teachers.  The Museum also produces kits that help educators teach art.
