Motor Neurone Disease Association

Research project
For the ‘Whole genome scan in Motor Neurone Disease’ research project. The Motor Neurone Disease association is involved in an international project to perform a genome-wide study of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The project’s goal is to identify genetic factors that predispose people to MND through extensive analysis of several thousand DNA samples.

The MND Association coordinates support and advice for people affected by MND and their families.  The Association’s goal is to enable MND patients to receive the best care, achieve the highest quality of life possible, and die with dignity. The Association also funds biomedical research projects on MND.
