Life Line Hellas - Equipment - Stavros Niarchos Foundation

Life Line Hellas

For the purchase of Telecare equipment.

The grant funded the purchase of fifty Telecare devices, which were distributed to an equal number of people free of charge within the context of Life Line’s “Elderly Adoption Program.”

Life Line was established in 2006 by a team of professionals in the health sector.  Its objective is to provide health care at home to the elderly and those in need. Life Line is part of the Pan-European Research program “Safe 21,” which focuses on providing remote medical care and treatment at home.  The program benefits millions of elderly Europeans.

Life Line’s “elderly adoption program” raises funds for the purchase of Telecare devices that are distributed free of charge to selected elderly people.  The Telecare devices enable the user to reach an emergency call line by simply pressing a button. Life Line is the only organization worldwide that offers remote medical care services on a free basis.
