To establish a Center for Talented Youth in Greece.
The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth identifies and nurtures academically gifted pre-university students by providing them with challenging educational opportunities, developing best practices in the field of gifted education, and supporting educators and parents in their efforts to meet the needs of highly able students. The grant will allow CTY Johns Hopkins in collaboration with Anatolia College to create the first Center for Talented Youth (CTY) in Thessaloniki. The program runs a need blind admission and will provide students in financial need with the opportunity to attend classes through a number of scholarships.
Johns Hopkins University was founded in 1876 and is a world leader in teaching and research. The university has numerous academic divisions and campuses throughout the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area.
