Horizon Hospice and Palliative Care

Capital Support
To support the construction of Horizon’s inpatient unit at Rush University Medical Center and the Uncompensated Care Fund, covering care expenses of patients with no insurance or without the ability to pay.

Horizon Hospice and Palliative Care, Chicago’s first hospice, was established in 1978 to preserve dignity at the end of life for all in need of services, and to educate the community, both medical professionals and patients, about palliative care and hospice services.  Horizon’s interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers provide comfort, respite, and friendship to patients and their families, to ensure the highest possible quality of life.
