For operating support to the following three organizations, which are supervised by the Metropolis: “Agios Haralampos” Nursing Home of Elika, “Agia Paraskevi” Foundation for People with Special Needs, and the Rehabilitation Day Treatment Center.

The Holy Metropolitan Church of Monemvasia and Sparta was established in 1082. Among its religious and philanthropic work, it operates the “Agios Haralampos” Nursing Home of Elika, the “Agia Paraskevi” Foundation for People with Special Needs, the Rehabilitation Day Treatment Center, two Stations for Infant Care, a school and a camp for people with special needs. “Agios Haralampos” was inaugurated in 2006 and caters for elderly and terminally ill patients from the wider area of Lakonia. “Agia Paraskevi” was founded in 1992 in order to serve people with special needs. The Rehabilitation Day Treatment Center was founded in 2001 as a model diagnostic and treatment center in order to cater for people suffering from various forms of disability, brain injuries, strokes, multiple sclerosis or neurological and orthopedic problems.
