Program support
For an educational program about storks. Storks have always been liked and appreciated in Greece. Very often they are linked to myths and traditions and are said to bring good luck to sea voyages. In modern times, however, there has been a significant reduction in their population and they no longer nest in southern Greece. The program was designed to make the public, particularly schoolchildren, aware of and sensitive to the stork and its problems. As part of the program children conducted an inventory of stork populations across Greece.
