For the exhibition "2008 Architecture Awards," which took place from April 15th to June 7th, 2009 at the Benaki Museum in Athens. The Architecture Awards are held every four years with the goal of recognizing works of contemporary Greek architecture that feature innovation and creativity and that blend well with the surrounding environment.
The Hellenic Institute of Architecture is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 with the mission of promoting Greek architecture. In cooperation with various institutions such as the Municipality of Athens, the German Architecture Museum, and various country embassies, the Institute has organized lectures featuring renowned architects, book publishing initiatives, and exhibitions, including “Hellenic Architecture in the 20th Century,” which was presented in various European cities. It has also established the New Greek Architects Biennale and the Architecture Awards.
