Hellenic Cancer Society

For operating the “Elpida” (Hope) open telephone line and for brochures promoting cancer prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment.The Society began operating in 1958 with the mission of assisting people with cancer and educating society in ways to detect, prevent and combat it. It conducts educational seminars, produces publications against smoking and promotes healthy ways of everyday life and diet. The Society also operates centers for the hospitalization and rehabilitation of patients.
