Hellenic Book Club

Program support
The grant supports the organization’s 2012 program, which focuses on the enrichment of 15 lending school libraries in the regions of Serres, Achaia, Agrinio, Lesvos, Rethymno and Evros. Furthermore, the grant supports the production of A3 educational material with cultural themes. This material will be placed in schools and libraries that already have been assisted by the Club, in order to promote book reading.

The Hellenic Book Club was founded in 1978 in Athens with the aim to promote quality books as effective cultural tools. One of Club’s major initiatives is to establish lending libraries in remote and isolated areas of the country, as well as in Greek communities abroad, with limited opportunities to acquire relevant educational material.
