Program support
To expand and strengthen the Harlem Stage Education Programs that engage young people who do not have other opportunities to experience and appreciate music, theater and/or dance performances. The organization offers in-school programming at community public schools and welcomes students from throughout the New York metropolitan area to its theaters.    
Founded in 1979, Harlem Stage celebrates and perpetuates the diverse artistic legacy of Harlem and the indelible impression it has made on American culture. Harlem Stage provides opportunities, commissioning and support for artists of color, makes performances accessible to all audiences, and introduces children to the performing arts.
