Greek Theater of the Deaf

Program support
The grant supports an educational workshop, which focuses on the creation of a play, which will allow deaf people to enrich their knowledge, and develop their talents in the dramatic arts. The play will also provide younger people with an understanding that deaf individuals are equally capable of artistic expression.

The Greek Theatre of the Deaf was founded in 1983 with the goal to function as an open platform of theatrical expression, and to aid the development of communication skills, for the 25,000 hearing impaired individuals in Greece. The organization produces performances in major venues regularly, and contacts workshops on establishing maximum levels of communication.
