Greek Guiding Association

Program support
The grant supports the organization of 10-day summer camps in 12 villages of the Peloponnese, with the participation of 600 children and 100 educators. The children’s activities include the extensive renovation of community buildings, the designation and signage of important monuments in the area, the preservation of folk artifacts, as well as the creation of documentaries and websites for the purpose of promoting tourism in the villages.
The Greek Guiding Association was established in 1932 and aims to help children develop their talents through self-governed groups, and to become creative and useful members of society. The organization is based in Athens, but has branches in 111 cities throughout Greece.
