Program support
For The Great Ideas Series program organized by the Fulbright Foundation.
The Great Ideas Series has successfully supported educational and cultural connections between Greece and the United States, with the goal of bringing highly esteemed American experts and artists to Greece to perform and discuss current topics of interest to the Greek and American people.  The Series aimed at facilitating mutual understanding and to create long-lasting collaborations between organizations in the two countries.
The program comprised of lectures on economics, medicine, education, current developments in fine arts and jazz music, and architecture and urban development.  Typically three events took place in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece, along with plans for dinners with professionals and student seminars.  In Athens, there  were a student event and a public presentation, and in Thessaloniki there was an additional presentation.

Four noted Americans participated in the series:
Dr. Ruth Faden, Executive Director, Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics
