Fondation Beyeler


For the Paul Gauguin’s exhibition, taking place from February 8th to June 28th 2015, showing some 50 of Gauguin’s greatest masterpieces, many of which will be lent from overseas museums and collections. Gauguin’s ground-breaking paintings have become icons of modern art and are some of the most significant and valuable cultural treasures in the world. In addition to paintings, the exhibition includes a selection of Gauguin’s outstanding sculptures that evoke the largely vanished art of the South Seas. A wide-ranging art education program and workshops will also be provided. 

The Fondation Beyeler houses a collection of over 250 Post-Impressionists, Classical Modernist and contemporary paintings and drawings as well as ethnographical art objects from Africa and Oceania.
