Programs support
For the implementation of two voluntary programs. The first program, entitled Vacations at School, includes a total of 10 bi-weekly activities per year, aiming to creatively occupy elementary school children living in underprivileged areas of Attica, during the summer time (July to August) within the premises of the schools. The second program, entitled Social Solidarity Lessons, involves 10 bi-weekly activities per year at five social Centers, namely orphanages, homes for the elderly and special needs centers, located in the prefecture. The aim of the program is to improve the daily life of people in need, to provide supported services to the existing staff, as well as to cover the operating needs of the Centers.
Elix is a nongovernmental organization which was founded in 1987, aiming to cultivate voluntary conscience and to promote voluntary offering. Its ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of people and their evolution as citizens of the world, through their active participation in public life.  Within this context, Elix organizes and participates in international actions of voluntary work and youth exchange, which focus on environmental protection, preservation of cultural heritage and on promoting cultural and social contribution.
