Concern Worldwide UK

Program support

The grant supports a pilot program, using video technology to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes in the Tahoua Region in Niger. The program aims to rebuild the capacity of untrained teachers through new training and monitoring approaches, which use video technology to improve the understanding and application of improved teaching techniques by teachers. It provides training on child-centred learning methodologies, which will enable the teachers to be more effective in transferring knowledge to pupils. Where necessary, schools will be provided with solar panels to ensure the required electricity supply.

Concern Worldwide UK is a subsidiary of Concern Worldwide and supports the overseas programs and conducts advocacy in the UK and Europe on issues related to development and humanitarian aid.
