Coalition for the Homeless

Program support
For partial support of the dance/fitness hall renovation at Camp Homeward Bound, the nation's first summer sleep-away camp designed specifically for homeless children. The grant also provides support for the Grand Central Food Program, a mobile soup kitchen that provides homeless men and women on the city’s streets with a meal, clothing, and outreach regarding available services.

Since 1981, the Coalition for the Homeless has lead the way in reducing mass homelessness in New York City through cost-effective and compassionate strategies. Through advocacy and direct service programs, like crisis intervention, job training, youth services, housing, and emergency food, the Coalition serves thousands daily. The Coalition is considered one of the most credible sources of information on homelessness, its causes, and its solutions.
