To support the research programs and scientific publication activity of the institution and enhance its operational capacity in order to continue to provide high quality Greek related educational and cultural activities to the Spanish public and to receive the public in its specialized library. 

The Centre of Byzantine, Modern Greek and Cypriot Studies (C.E.B.N.Ch.) of Granada was founded by the Greek State, through the Greek Embassy in Spain, in July 1998 and has since promoted Hellenic studies in the Spanish speaking world. The Centre is also home to an important Greek library, including the archives of former President of the Greek Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tsatsos.
