Centre Antoine-Lacassagne

Equipment

The grant supports the acquisition of a 4D scanner that is part of the new prototype of high energy proton-therapy facility. This treatment will mainly apply to children cancers, for patients coming from France and abroad.

Created in 1961, the Centre Antoine Lacassagne is an Oncologic Center, and part of the UNICANCER French network. It provides comprehensive cancer care (prevention, screening, treatment) and offers equal access to care to numerous French and foreign patients. The center is a pioneer in the field, and was the first institute in France to propose proton-therapy to patients as early as 1991.
