Broadway Housing Communities

Program support

The grant supports the launch of the Sugar Hill Early Childhood Center.

Established in 1983, Broadway Housing Communities addresses the challenge of deep generational poverty using a model that combines housing with supportive services for children, families, and adults in the underserved areas of West Harlem and Washington Heights. The Sugar Hill Project, designed by world-renowned architect David Adjaye, is BHC’s seventh property. It will include permanent, affordable housing, an early childhood center, and the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling.
