Bring Hope Through Healing

Operating support

For scholarships for physicians to travel to developing countries to perform surgeries, give lectures or engage in other medical care training. Scholarship funds will be used to subsidize travel, lodging and medical supplies during volunteer health care missions.

Bring Hope Through Healing was established in 2008 by two doctors at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. William Schlott, an internist, and Dr. Richard Redett, a pediatric plastic surgeon.  Both doctors have volunteered for many health care missions in the developing world and hope to continue and expand their efforts. With scholarship funding, more qualified doctors can participate in these missions and more children in developing countries can receive necessary surgeries and have a healthy future.
