Program support

The grant supports the employment of 11 staff members (over a three-year period), start-up funding for laboratories and for renovation works (animal house expansion, new labs, etc.).

The organization was founded in 1995, operating under the auspices of the Greek General Secretariat for Research & Technology, supported by the Greek government and through national, European and international grants. The Center hosts 150 staff and occupies a fully-owned facility of approximately 6,000 m2 in a 128-acre site and contains equipment such as transgenic, bio-imaging, proteomics, and genomics facilities, a bioinformatics service and a renowned animal house.
