Research program
For a research program into the causes and treatment of arthritis and for providing care to people affected by arthritis and rheumatic disease. Since its inception in 1953, the New York Chapter´s Fellowship Exchange Program has sponsored over 200 young scientists in the field of rheumatology from the United States and all over the world. The research program, which supports the participation of outstanding Greek doctors in arthritis research at the Hospital for Special Surgery from 2006 to 2008, is promoted in the Rheumatology and Orthopedic Surgery Departments of all the major medical institutions in Greece. Applicants are reviewed by a Fellowship Award Panel consisting of experts in the relevant fields.
