Project support in Kenya
For an emergency project to provide access to water and sanitation in a drought-stricken nomadic sheepherding region in northern Kenya, District of Turkana.

The project encompasses constructing water and hygiene infrastructure for people and cattle as well as reinforcing the water capacity of local communities.

AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation) is a leading health development organization in Africa whose mission is to bring good quality and affordable health care closer to those who need it the most, and to prevent poor health through community education as well as, the training of health workers. It was established in 1956 as the “East African Flying Doctor Service” using modern technologies to reach rural Africans who had no access to basic health care. Working closely with communities and governments, AMREF is acting to strengthen Africa’s health systems.
