Alliance for International Medical Action

Program Support
For a project pertaining to the management of malnutrition and related diseases in Niger, Mali, Chad, Nigeria and Brurkina Faso. The project aims to control the evolution of malnutrition, through developing the capacity of the local actors to treat and follow up. It will create a platform of selected local medical NGOs working on malnutrition. The platform will provide the basis for collaboration, exchange of staff, information and medical data among the countries, in order to identify and disseminate best practices and develop a methodology for analyzing the trends of malnutrition and the appropriate measures of response.
The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA) has intervened in a number of countries under emergency and humanitarian contexts. It promotes collaboration between humanitarian organizations, governments and civil society to offer a high standard of medical care to populations mainly suffering from malnutrition, malaria or cholera.
