Advocates for Children of New York

Program support
The grant supports AFC’s direct assistance program, which helps vulnerable New York City families obtain the support and services their children need to succeed in school.

Established in 1971, Advocates for Children in New York has advocated on behalf of the children and youth who are most likely to experience failure or discrimination in school because of their poverty, race, disability, language barriers, homelessness, or involvement in the foster care or juvenile justice systems.
