Adaptive Design Association

General support
To support Adaptive Design Association’s efforts to build organizational capacity and expand its reach in the New York City public school system.

The Adaptive Design Association, established in 1998, builds cost-effective, durable, and fully customized child-specific equipment out of cardboard. The equipment helps children with disabilities to achieve their full developmental, social, and academic potential, as well as more independence and a better quality of life. The organization operates a workshop where the devices are handmade and where hands-on training courses are held to train teachers, physical and occupational therapists, families and caregivers from around the world.
