Restoration
For restoring the library collection and upgrading the premises, located in a historical building along the Seine.

The library collection comprises over 1,200 titles in over 2,200 volumes and contains historically valuable books dating from 1498.  Nineteenth-century works represent approximately 40% of the collection.
 
The National Academy of Surgery is the oldest French surgical society. Its aim is to facilitate advances in surgical science and to inform members of fundamental discoveries and progress in surgery. It is also involved in economic, legal and ethical aspects of surgery, debating on the problems of public health, the responsibility of the surgeon and hospital reform. The Society acts as a reference for surgeons as well as for the magistrates, experts and public authorities.
