Stavros Niarchos Foundation - Athens, Greece
Eleni Agouridi is a Senior Program Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She joined the team in 2005 and since 2014, she has been mostly focusing on grants relating to tertiary education, research centers, and grants falling under the Recharging the Youth Initiative. She holds a BSc degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and an MA degree in International Peace & Security from King’s College London.
George Agouridis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and its Senior Legal Advisor. He is a member of the Athens Bar Association. He served as board member at Hellenic Shipyards SA (1980 - 1985), until the company’s transfer to the Greek State and was also a board member at Alpha Bank from 2000 to 2014. He has also served in various capacities, including Vice-President and President, at the boards of a number of publicly –traded companies including among others Alpha Finance, Delta Pliroforiki, Unisystems and others. He has served at the board of a number of non-profit organizations. He also served as President of the Board of Directors of the non-profit limited liability company “Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center A.E.” which undertook the SNFCC’s construction, funded exclusively by the Foundation, until the SNFCC was delivered as a gift to the Greek State, in February 2017.
Vasiliki Anargyrou is the Chief Human Resources Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She joined the team in June 2022, she is an HR professional with almost 30 years of professional experience in HR Management in four different industries: retailing, fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical and the last 16 years in shipping. She has strong academic background in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Coaching and Group Analysis.
Vasiliki holds a BSc in Chemistry, an MSc in Human Resources Management, a Diploma in Executive Coaching and Organizational Development and a Certified diploma in Group Analysis and Family therapy.
Georgia Androulidaki is the Senior Accounting Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
She joined the team in July 2022. She has 16 years of experience as Accountant/Business & Financial Analyst and Compliance in Bard Hellas Medical Equipment SA.
Georgia holds an Accounting Degree from the Technological Educational Institution of Piraeus and has completed the six months’ tax seminar from PWC academy.
Christina Ataroglou is an attorney and member of the Athens Bar Association. She works as a legal officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and is engaged with the Foundation’s legal affairs. Prior to joining the Foundation, Christina was employed in the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and her experience is liaising between the disciplines of Programs, Philanthropy and Law. She holds an L.L.B. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law, and a MSc. in Business for Lawyers from ALBA Graduate Business School.
George is Communications Co-Director and Creative Director at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Before joining SNF, he was Creative Director at Ogilvy Greece, where he worked for six years. Throughout his career he was responsible for crafting 360 communications and generating creative concepts and he has managed accounts for COSMOTE, Piraeus Bank, Germanos, Amnesty International Greece, and more. George is a graduate of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean.
Since 2016, Anna-Kynthia has collaborated with SNF and other partners on international programs and grants related to journalism while simultaneously serving as Executive Director of the SNF Dialogues initiative, launched in November 2017. The Dialogues, which she curates and coordinates, offer a multimedia platform that encourages the exchange of ideas and highlights the need for us as citizens to communicate and express ourselves on a basis of equality and diversity.
In 2020, she received the Giorgos Karayiannis Journalism and Technology Award for her contributions to the creation and administration of iMEdD, as well as her work for SNF related to the Foundation’s efforts to support high-quality journalism and other projects that benefit society. This distinction was awarded as part of the Athanasios V. Botsis Foundation awards for the Promotion of Journalism.
In the past, she has presented the news and headed a morning television news program. She has also worked as a radio reporter and then as a news editor and producer while writing for various publications.
She holds a degree in Sociology from Panteion University, specializing in the sociology of mass media.
Konstantinos joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in 2022 as an Information and Technology Officer. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked as a Software Developer and as a Technical Supervisor in the field of Computerization of Information Systems in the Banking industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering from the University of West Attica.
Vasiliki Danai Derpanopoulou works at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) from 2019. She holds a BA (Hons) in 3D Design and Craft from the University of Brighton. During her studies, she participated in exhibitions in England and volunteered in organizations helping to implement art therapy lessons for people with special needs. In 2017, she participated in the Internship Program at MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art, in New York, working for one year in the Museum’s Development Department, at the Institutional Giving, assisting in fundraising for education programs and exhibitions. She has also participated in the SNF Internship Program at the Programs Department.
Stergios Dimitrakis is Senior Technical Manager at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). He joined SNF in November 2023. Stergios holds a MEng in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Bath. His more than two decades of experience in the field cover structural, civil, and offshore engineering, and he has worked on large-scale projects including marine bridges, rail viaducts, metro stations, rail depots, hospitals, and stadiums. Stergios has experience in both design and construction, collaborating with various government and private sector clients, as well as with major contractors and consulting offices.
Katerina Drakopoulou joined Stavros Niarchos Foundation Finance team in 2021 as a Senior Finance Officer. Prior to joining, she held Treasury Financial Analysis roles in Citigroup UK & Eurobank for 7 years. She was then employed by HSBC Athens for 13 years in multiple Finance roles covering Financial reporting, Forecasting, Liquidity monitoring, Internal Controls and Treasury products support amongst others. Her latest assignment in Intrum Hellas Finance team focused on Reporting & Planning. She holds a BSc in Mathematics with Economics from Sussex University & an MSc in Finance and Investment from Brunel University.
Constantina Emmanouil is an Assistant to the Program Management and Public Affairs departments of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Athens office. Since 2013 she has assisted with the organization of events related to the Foundation and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), including the Foundation’s Annual Conference of Philanthropy and the SNFCC inauguration events.
Constantina worked for 34 years at the Niarchos Group, including the Hellenic Shipyards at Skaramanga, the International Operation of the Shipping Company, involved in both operations and port captains departments. She has also worked in the Foundation’s Technical department. Constantina studied Business Administration and Accounting at the Clydebank Technical College of Glasgow and Secretarial Studies at St. George Secretarial School.
Nick Gialias has been a member of the IT Department since 2013. Prior to joining the SNF, he worked as a Network and Communication Engineer to the private sector.
Lina Giotaki is an attorney-admitted before the Court of Appeals, member of Athens Bar Association and a Mediator (ADR Center-AKKED Promitheas). She has been a member of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation since 2013 and is engaged with the Organization’s legal matters. Prior to joining the Foundation, her expertise covers civil and public law, while she has done an internship at the State’s Legal Counsel, at the Secretariat of Public Works. She holds an L.L.B from Athens University, Faculty of Law, an MSc. in Business for Lawyers from ALBA Graduate Business School and a DPO Certificate.
George joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in 2020 as a Technical Grant Officer, member of the Technical Department. He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh. George has previously worked with major construction companies and has extensive experience as Project and Site Construction Manager.
Maria is Legal Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She joined the team in June 2022.
She holds a BSc in Law from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master of Laws in Industrial Property and Competition Law from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Alexandros is a Programs Co- Director at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). He joined the team in June 2022. Ηe is an executive leader with over 20 years of experience managing complex projects and helping organizations to develop innovative approaches and effective practices, working with foundations, government, nonprofit and corporate partners.
Alexandros holds a BA in History from Grinell College, IA, and a MSc in Journalism from Columbia University, New York.
Melina is a Digital Strategist on SNF’s Communications team. She studied Social Anthropology at Panteion University, but with graduation came the realization that digital communication is her true passion. She has worked in the digital departments of advertising agencies handling multinational accounts such as Samsung, Nestle, adidas, P&G and Michelin.
She is a Meta Certified Creative Strategy Professional and has certification from Google in Digital Marketing.
In March 2013 Ambassador Kaskarelis was nominated as Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
Ambassador Kaskarelis, who joined the Greek Foreign Service in 1974, has had a long diplomatic career, bringing to Washington 16 consecutive years of international experience in key international organizations and a unique knowledge on European affairs, transatlantic relations and global issues.
Prior to his post as Greece’s Ambassador to the US, Ambassador Kaskarelis served for the past six years in Brussels as Greece’s Permanent Representative to the European Union (2004-2009), where he actively participated in the decision-shaping of all major developments involving the EU (among others, Lisbon Treaty, EU financial perspectives, enlargement, transatlantic relations, relations with Russia and justice and social affairs). He negotiated the final phase of the full membership of the Republic of Cyprus to the E.U. and the starting of the negotiations with Turkey.
Previously, he was Permanent Representative to NATO (2000-2004) during the 9/11 events, the stabilization of the Western Balkans region, the Afghanistan operations and the Iraq war, while also serving as head negotiator for the Confidence Building Measures between Greece and Turkey.
Before that, he served in New York as Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1994-2000), having the coordination and an overview of all U.N. issues at a critical juncture for the Organization. In parallel he was deputy negotiator for the solution of the name issue between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
His other posts included Ankara and Nicosia, giving him first-hand experience in the relating issues, as well as Berlin (West), where he witnessed the fall of the Wall and the subsequent events that changed the face of Europe.

In 2011, Ambassador Kaskarelis was selected, among 183 foreign Ambassadors, and named Diplomat of the Year by the World Affairs Council at an event held in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
Ambassador Kaskarelis served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from July 2012 to March 2013 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece at the Caretaker Government May - June 2023.

Konstantin combines consulting, research and design in urban planning with an expertise in spatial and cultural development. Before joining the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, he managed consortia delivering urban and strategic plans, as well as spatial planning legislation. Over time, Konstantin has advised private and public sector actors on socio-economic, cultural and urban development matters in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has also worked with UNICEF Madagascar, the EU Commission, and international NGOs in Brussels and Beirut. Alongside his work with planning practices and international organizations, Konstantin has collaborated on large research grants, and has published on questions of urban planning, citizenship and socio-political development. He holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Cambridge, and a Masters in Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London, as well as a Master from Sciences-po Paris in Development Studies and a BA in Economics and Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
Chrysa is a Communications Officer on SNF's Communications team. Prior to joining SNF in 2023, she worked for 8 years in the advertising industry, in account management departments for brands such as Protergia, Lidl Hellas, WIND Hellas and NOVA. Chrysa holds a BSc in Classic Philology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Marketing and Communication from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
Ιoanna is the Digital Content Manager for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), member of the Communications team. She has been member of the Foundation since 2006, as a Program Officer, while in 2012 she also joined the Communications team as a Website Content Coordinator. Since 2017, she is exclusively dedicated to the Communications team. Her professional experiences prior to joining the Foundation, include 15 years working in the area of nonprofit organizations as a Co-Founding Member of Make A Wish Greece (MAWG), working on all fronts on the structure of the organization. She has also held the positions of Vice-President and Treasurer on the Board of Directors of MAWG. Ioanna has also worked in the area of Arts, teaching classical ballet to children and adults and organizing performances for them. She holds a Degree as a Professor of Classical Ballet, certified by the Greek Ministry of Culture.
Elina Klaridopoulou joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in 2014 as a Program Officer. For the previous 15 years Elina was professionally involved with Private Banking. She spent eight years with Unicredit Bank, Athens Branch as a Private Banker serving high net worth individuals. Prior to that, she handled investment accounts for affluent clients of Citibank, Greece (Citigold). Elina has a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus.
Alexia is a Creative Writer, member of the Communications team at Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Before joining the Foundation in 2018, she worked as a copywriter at advertising and brand agencies. Her professional experience includes communication and media relations in the Communications Department of ERT Digital Archives, and she has also worked with startups to help them build brand awareness. She holds a BA in Communication from the American College of Greece and MSc in Media & Communications from the London School of Economics.
Elianna joined the Foundation in 2019, and she is the Director of the SNF Global Health Initiative (GHI). Her professional experience includes policy and programmatic positions in the fields of international development and humanitarian affairs, internationally and in Greece. From 2015 to 2019, she worked on the refugee crisis in Greece, as a policy advisor at UNICEF as well as in senior roles at NGOs, having headed large-scale emergency and humanitarian programming across the country. Prior to that, she worked for numerous years at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris and on consultancy projects for the United Nations, focusing on issues related to human security, peacebuilding and post-conflict reconstruction, green growth and sustainable development. Before transitioning to the non-profit sector, Elianna worked in the private sector, having co-founded one of the first online ticketing companies in Greece, as well as at the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games ‘Athens 2004’.
She holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) from the University of York, UK, and a Master in Public Affairs (MPA) from L'Institut d'études politiques de Paris, Sciences Po Paris, with a major on "Human Security" and "Economic and Territorial Development".
Asimina Koutroumpousi is the Design & Technical Production Director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). She has been a member of the Foundation since 2009 and has worked on the evaluation and implementation of technical grants. In addition, she has been actively involved during the design and the construction phases of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, and she technically supports the Foundation’s various architectural and graphic design needs across departments. Her previous professional experience has focused on architectural design and the construction of private residences and exhibition spaces. She has also undertaken projects on graphic and fashion design. She holds a MArch in Architecture from the Department of Architecture of the University of Patras.
Panagiotis Kranias joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in 2004 and provides support to the Athens office as a driver and as Security Officer. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked for seven years exclusively as a driver in light and heavy vehicles as well as Limousine chauffeuring.
Christina Lambropoulou is the Foundation’s CFO, responsible for the oversight of all financial activities and reporting. She has been with the Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation since 2009. Prior to joining, Mrs. Lambropoulou was employed in the retail banking division of Citibank in Greece where she has served for 24 years. During her period of employment with Citibank she has served in a number of capacities in the areas of Financial Control, Marketing, Product Development, Sales and Distribution Management. In her most recent role, she was the Head of Wealth Management and Distribution, responsible for the development and sales of Deposit, Investment and Insurance products as well as the management of Citi’s branch network and alternative sales channels. Mrs. Lambropoulou holds a BA degree in Applied Mathematics and Operations Research from Harvard University.
Mrs Lambropoulou represents the Stavros Niarchos Foundation at the European Foundation Centre (EFC) Governing Council, and also serves on the EFC Management Committee as Treasurer, since 2017.
Kostas Liveris is the Deputy Chief Technical Officer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. He has been with the Foundation for two years working for the Technical Department. His professional experience prior to joining the Foundation relates to design and construction programs and projects as well as funding programs like ESPA, for which he served as project manager, construction manager and technical consultant. He holds a Civil Engineering diploma from National Technical University of Athens and a MSc in Construction economics and Management from University College London.
Theodore Maravelias is an Architect Engineer and since 2005 is working at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, based in the Athens office, as the Director of the Technical Department. He holds a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD in Architecture from Edinburgh University UK, in which he also served as a lecturer in its School of Architecture. His professional experience, prior to joining the Foundation, includes the design of numerous private and public building projects with special reference to hospital design.
Daphne is the Associate Creative Director at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Up until joining SNF, she was an Associate Creative Director at Ogilvy Greece, where she worked for 5 years. Throughout her years working in the advertising industry, she was part of the team that created some of the most viral and awarded campaigns in Greece. Her work for major clients like Lacta, IKEA and COSMOTE has been recognized in the most prestigious advertising festivals, earning her important awards, including a Gold Glass Lion in the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, a D&AD Award, a Clio Award, and others. Daphne holds a BSc in Mass Media & Communication, from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
George Michalakopoulos is Technical Officer at the Athens office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. He has been a member of the Foundation’s Technical Department for almost ten years. His professional experience prior to joining the Foundation includes work in the areas of research & development, product/project management and sales, as well as telecommunications. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from NTUA (EMΠ) Athens, Greece, and a MSc in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Brown University RI, USA.

Lily Milioni is an Accountant in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Athens office where she has been working since 2006. Before joining the Foundation, she was working at International Operations SA (member of Niarchos Group of companies).
Dimitra Moustaka is an attorney at law and member of the Athens Bar Association. She holds a M.Sc. in Gender Studies from Linkoping University, and MAs in Cultural management and Art, Law and Economy. She has worked in private practice, and also has important work experience in the field of child protection, working as a legal counselor and as a project coordinator in different NGOs, INGOs and international organizations.

Dimitra Ntanti joined Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in 2023 as the Executive Assistant of the Global COO. She holds a BSc in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, and a MSc in Theatre studies from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow. She has worked as a research assistant in AUEB and following this she has served as Production Project Manager and Assistant Director in multiple theatres in Athens. Prior to joining SNF, she was working for two years as a Project Manager in an information services company in Athens.
Panagiotis Ouftsoglou joined the Foundation in 2017 as a Senior IT Officer. Prior to joining the Foundation, Panagiotis worked in the information technology field as IT & Managed Services Manager, having a long experience in supporting large customers and complex projects throughout Greece and abroad.
Panagiotis was born in Athens on February 16, 1966. Trying to find his professional inclination, he began his studies at National Polytechnic School of Athens as a Mineralogist, a career that wasn’t meant to be, as he dropped out after one year full of denial. He then studied Graphic Design at the Vakalo School of Applied Arts and started working as an art director for various publications. In 1993 he attended Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London for a Masters in Communication Design that he managed to acquire, with distinction, two years later.
He has worked for over 18 years in the creative departments of major Greek Agencies like Ogilvy, UpSet!, Leo Burnett, and Cream and for more than five as a Strategic Planner at Ogilvy and Publicis. He has done both creative and strategic work for multinational clients or local brands like Vodafone, P&G, Unilever, Nestlé, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Cosmote, Aegean Airlines and NGOs like Action Aid, Doctors without Borders and others.
Since January 2020 he has made a more meaningful turn and started his new career as Communications Co- Director for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
Panos Papoulias holds a BA in Politics, Economics and Philosophy (major in Economics) from the University of York, UK, an MSc. in Political Theory from the London School of Economics, UK and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece. In 2007 he completed his PhD in Government at the London School of Economics on the subject of the relationship between Ethical Pluralism and Liberal political doctrines. He taught various undergraduate political theory courses at the LSE, before working as Head of Investment at a leading Greek aluminum heavy industry. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as Management Advisor and then as Operations Manager at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
Nikos Patargias is a Senior Officer in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s (SNF) Finance team. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was employed in the audit department of Deloitte in Greece where he served for eight years. During his employment with Deloitte, he was assigned in a number of statutory and tax audits under the framework of International and Greek reporting standards, mergers and acquisitions. He also worked for one year at EFG Eurobank as a business credit line regulator and for four years as an accountant. He holds a postgraduate professional qualification from the institute of Certified Public Accountants in Greece (CPA) and one on Management and Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. He holds a certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) and he is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) he is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Pavlos Pezaros has been the Chief Accountant for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Athens office for more than ten years. Prior to joining the Foundation, Pavlos was employed as an accountant at International Maritimes Agencies SA and International Operations SA (both members of Niarchos Group of companies). He graduated from the Economic University of Athens and is a Certified Accountant (A’ Class). He has also studied software programming and completed a one-year postgraduate tax seminar at the Economic University of Athens. He is member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Thanassis Politis is a Deputy Group Chief IT Officer and has been working for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation since 1996. Prior to joining the Foundation, Thanassis worked in the Information Technology field in various companies.
Ioannis Raptakis is a member of the SNF management team and SNF’s Chief Safety & Security Officer, positions to which he brings a wealth of experience from a long and distinguished diplomatic career.
He served as Greek Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (2020 – 2023), to Vietnam and Laos (2017 – 2019), and to India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and the Maldives (2012 – 2015). He was Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (2020 – 2023), Consul General in Sydney (2004 – 2007) and Bucharest (2001 – 2003), Consul in Perth (1989 – 1993) and Deputy Chief of Mission in Argentina (1997 – 1999) and the Republic of Ireland (1993–1996).
Most recently, he was Deputy Director General of Greece’s National Intelligence Service.
During his nearly forty-year career as Director or Chief Coordinator, Chairman or Leading Expert, Consul General or Ambassador, he was involved in negotiations with foreign governments, multilateral organizations, and non-governmental entities, promoting national interests, fostering economic partnerships, analyzing complex geopolitical issues, and managing diplomatic emergencies and crises.
Danae Roumis is a Senior Program Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She joined the team in 2022 and works closely with the dedicated Health Initiative Team on the many projects under the Health Initiative umbrella. Danae holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago, and an MSc in Global Health and Population from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has previously worked in the private sector and in academia at the intersection of health, international development, and research. She has experience directing projects all over the world on a wide range of topics including water and sanitation, maternal health, infectious diseases, COVID-19, and others. Most recently she was managing a portfolio of policy research projects in the energy and environment sector at the University of Chicago.
Maria Sideri is the Foundation’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer and she joined its team in January 2022. Maria has a long-lasting experience in Financial Management in multinational organizations and has attained the role of Finance Director in companies such as Philips, Hewlett Packard and Becton Dickinson where she was Finance Director of Italy and Greece for BDI Division. Konstantinos Stamatopoulos has been part of the Foundation since early 2022, working as a Design Director in the communications department. He has been in the visual communication sector since 2007, always at the intersection of design and technology. Before joining SNF, he was the Head of Digital Design at the advertising agency Ogilvy.
He holds an MSc in Design and Digital Media from the University of Edinburgh.
Aristi Stathakopoulou is a Senior Program Officer at the Athens office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Before beginning her venture in philanthropy, Aristi worked in the Greek public sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International and European Studies from Panteion University of Athens and a Master’s in Arts on Conflict Resolution from the Lancaster University, England, with a focus on Peacemaking and Peacebuilding.
Loukia Synodinou is a Grants Administrator at the Athens office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Prior joining Foundation, she worked in the Greek public sector as well as in a non-profit organization focused on social welfare. She holds a BA on Management in the Agricultural sector from the University of Ioannina and an MBA on Tourism Management from the University of Piraeus.
Constantina Tsakiri has been the receptionist, telephone operator and secretary of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Athens office since 2006. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked at Research International Hellas SA as a market researcher and at Germanos Chain of Stores as Sale Manager & Cell Phone Administrator.
Alexia Vasilikou is a Communications Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2015, she worked at the Communication & Development Department of the Museum of Cycladic Art, Athens, where she contributed to audience development, marketing and outreach projects. Her professional experience includes communication, media relations and events management in an Athens-based international public relations agency and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. She holds a BSc in Architectural Studies from University College London (UCL), and MA in Arts Management from City University, London.
Emmanouil Vazaios is the Group Chief IT Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Deputy Chief Operating Officer at the Athens office. Emmanouil joined the Foundation in 2006 as a member of the IT department. Prior to joining the Foundation, Emmanouil worked in the Information Technology field as project manager and business consultant in the areas of enterprise software and data processing on various projects throughout Greece.
Panos Vazaios is the Internship Program Coordinator and a Senior Program Officer at the Athens office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Panos joined the Foundation in 2012 and has worked on projects related to public health, medical infrastructure, education of health professionals, athletic programming and facilities. Prior to joining the Foundation, Panos worked in the construction field where he developed designs for building installations and infrastructure projects, provided analysis on energy efficiency, and provided project and financial management and supervision on various projects throughout Greece.

Prior to joining the SNF, Lenia worked in the areas of international relations, communication, and event management. She holds a BA in International and European Studies from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, in Athens, and an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London.

Jaidyn Appel is a Program Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), where she started in 2024. Prior to joining SNF, Jaidyn spent time at a donor collaborative, as well as various youth development and social justice nonprofits. She holds a BA from Tufts University in Political Science, with minors in Sociology, Child Development, and German.
Luis Daniel Caridad joined SNF in 2022 as a Program Officer. His work is primarily focused on the Foundation’s Social Welfare grantmaking area. Prior to joining SNF, Luis Daniel spent 15 years at multiple nonprofit organizations in New York City, working on a wide range of issues related to financial inclusion and economic justice; fair housing and tenants’ rights; and grassroots community empowerment and self-determination.
Lynsey Cooper joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) as a Program Officer in the New York office in 2024 and is primarily focused on its Global Health Initiative (GHI). She holds a BA in International Relations from Syracuse University and an MPH from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Previously, Lynsey has worked in the fields of international development, health care consulting, and child and adolescent health research.
John is Co-Deputy Chief Investment Officer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. He is involved in all aspects of the Foundation’s investment program, including overseeing the macro research, tactical asset allocation and hedging functions. With a career that spans over 30 years, John brings to the Foundation an extensive range of international banking and capital markets experience from a front, middle and back-office perspective. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2009, John served 10 years as a senior banker at JP Morgan and Citibank. In this capacity, he was an advisor to international private investors, global family groups, and private foundations of an institutional scale and sophistication. John joined Morgan Guaranty Trust in 1996 as an FX product specialist where he tailored cross-border hedging and investment strategies for the bank’s private clients. Starting his career at Chemical Bank in 1989, John held various positions in capital market operations, business process reengineering and currency trading. He holds a B.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University.
Chris Davey is a Senior Creative Writer and Communications Officer for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s New York office. Before joining the Foundation in 2018, he worked in a communications role in college admissions. An Illinois native, Chris graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Classics.
Andreas Dracopoulos is Co-President of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), a private, international philanthropic organization that funds organizations and projects worldwide aiming to achieve a broad, lasting, and positive impact for society at large. The Foundation has made more than 5,400 grants to nonprofit organizations around the world that exhibit strong leadership and sound management since its establishment in 1996 at the passing of Andreas’s great uncle, Stavros Niarchos.
Dedicated to the work of philanthropy in both his public and private life, Andreas is a Trustee of The Rockefeller University in New York, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Board of the Berman Institute of Bioethics at JHU and as a Board of Advisors Trustee at the New York Public Library (NYPL), where he served as a Trustee from 2003 to 2010. From 2009 to 2018 he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, D.C., and he served on the Board of the Dalton School in New York from 2012 to 2018 and 2019 to 2020.
He has also provided longstanding personal support to many projects, mainly in the areas of education, arts and culture, and medicine. Among these activities, he provided the founding grant to establish the Dracopoulos iDeas Lab at CSIS and supported the creation of the Dracopoulos-Bloomberg Bioethics iDeas Lab at JHU’s Berman Institute of Bioethics, where he also endowed the directorship. Through his personal grantmaking, he continues to support the important work of a variety of nonprofit organizations.
He has been honored to receive a number of recognitions for his work. In 2023, he received The Rockefeller University’s 2023 Enlightened Philanthropy Award. In 2022, the New York Landmarks Conservancy honored Andreas as a Living Landmark for his notable contributions to New York City. In 2021, he was invested as Archon Grand Orator (Megas Rhetor) by archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and made an Honorary Battalion Chief by the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY), the organization’s highest civilian honor. In 2018, H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic awarded Andreas the rank of the Grand Cross of the Order of Honor. In 2016, the Republic of France awarded Andreas the rank of the Officer of the Legion of Honor. In 2012, the Hellenic Republic awarded him the rank of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Phoenix.
In 2017, Andreas received humanitarian awards from the New York Stem Cell Foundation and the FDNY Foundation. The Child Mind Institute honored him in 2015 for his longstanding commitment and support in providing mental health resources for children. In the same year, Andreas received the Person of the Year award from the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and was honored during The National Herald’s 100th anniversary celebration for his contributions to promoting and supporting Greek education. In 2012, the NYPL honored him for his personal contributions to the Library’s educational programs.
Andreas was born and raised in Athens, Greece, and graduated from Athens College. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In May 2023, Andreas received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from JHU, and in 2021 he received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. He lives in New York City.

Taylor Glazebrook is a Senior Communications Officer at the SNF’s New York Office. She joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in 2016, and served a dual role as a Program Officer and Communications Officer before moving to the Communications team full-time in 2019. Previously, Taylor worked for CSC as a Digital Marketing Associate. Originally from the Northern Virginia area, Taylor graduated from James Madison University with a BBA in Marketing and Film Studies, and completed her MSc in Strategic Communications at Columbia University.
Vernon Jackson is an Office Assistant in the New York office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), helping make the Foundation’s work possible by facilitating daily operations across its various departments. He joined SNF in early 2022 following previous career experience working at a food consulting firm and as a professional driver. A native New Yorker who is married with twin daughters, Vernon enjoys bike riding, long walks, and boating.
Edwin Moy is a Senior Information Technology Officer at the New York office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Edwin has worked in the information technology and network data security fields as an IT Manager and Administrator for over 15 years in different commercial and non-profit firms. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from Pace University.
Ekaterini “Kathy” Moustakis is the Executive Assistant to Mr. Andreas Dracopoulos at the New York office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She has been a member of the Foundation and the Group for a combined total of 25 years of service. Her professional experience prior to joining the Foundation includes work in the Group’s Shipping Purchasing/Operations Departments and previously in the areas of Banking, Medical, Insurance and Sales. She is a NY Notary Public, holds a NY Real Estate Salesperson License and a Chartering Certificate from SUNY Maritime. She holds an MBA in International Marketing from St. John’s University, NY and a BA in International Finance from Baruch College, NY.
Rick Petty is Chief Investment Officer and responsible for the investment oversight of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Prior to his involvement with the Niarchos Foundation, Mr. Petty was employed in the asset management division of Deutsche Bank, where he assisted institutional clients with investment strategy and product development. Mr. Petty was engaged with Bankers Trust from 1989 until the merger with Deutsche Bank in 1998. During his period of employment with Bankers Trust, Mr. Petty served in a number of capacities, including establishing the named fiduciary business and as head of the investment consulting business. Mr. Petty also contributed to the development of the risk measurement product offered to external clients based upon the BT’s proprietary Value-At-Risk methodology. Before joining Bankers Trust, Mr. Petty was employed by Chase Manhattan Bank, where he served as an investment consultant and trust officer for large institutional clients. He gained a BA in Economics from Western Washington University.
Casey Russo is Programs Co-Director at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and is based in New York City. In her role, Casey oversees much of SNF’s grantmaking outside of Greece. She joined the SNF in 2019 and began with a primary focus on the Foundation’s education-related grantmaking. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Psychology and holds an MS in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University.
Argero “Roula” Siklas is a Senior Program Officer in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s New York office, where she has worked since 2006. Prior to that, she was a peer health educator, taught math and science to middle school and high school students, and spent time as a volunteer with various nonprofit organizations focused on health- and nutrition-related issues. A graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and Barnard College (Biology), she also holds an M.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Hunter College of the City University of New York and an MPH in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
Vasili Tsamis has over 35 years of global finance experience in banking and investments, corporate lending, capital markets and project finance activities. Since 2008, Vasili has been with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Before that, Vasili held diverse responsibilities in senior positions with Citigroup, both in the United States and Switzerland, and with Julius Baer and Credit Lyonnais in New York. Before embarking on his banking career, Vasili was a research assistant in the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in New York and Geneva and worked as a staff reporter for the Greek Press and Information Service in New York. Vasili completed his basic education in his native Greece. He holds a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University in New York, and an Advanced Degree in Banking from the American Institute of Banking in New York. For nearly twenty years, he was a licensed General Securities Representative and Securities Agent under New York State Law, and an Investment Adviser and General Securities Supervisory Principal, certified by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He speaks Greek, English and French.
George Vega is an Office Assistant in the New York office of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. He has been a member of the Foundation and its affiliates for 23 years assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Programs and Management departments. His professional experience prior to joining the Foundation includes working as superintendent for a company called Dearborn Management for approximately ten years.
FSN S.A.M. - Monte Carlo, Monaco
Aurélie is Program Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She joined the team in June 2022. She has two years of experience as Philanthropy Manager at the Nice Teaching Hospital’s Foundation, where she managed all fundraising activities undertaken by the Foundation and led in the securement of grants. She also has over six years of experience in the UK, working within global organizations such as World Vision UK.
She holds a Master’s Degree in interpretation from ESTRI (School for international careers of UCLy in Lyon in translation and interpreting) in French, English, German and Spanish and a Bachelor of Arts from ESTRI in International Relations Management and Translation.
Stéphane Gastaud studied Accounting in Monaco and graduated from BTEC Higher National Diploma in 1991. During his military service he served as a Sergeant for one year and started working for the Niarchos Family in November 1992 as Accountant. He was then promoted to IT support and IT solutions designer related to Family accounting and financial reporting needs. He joined the Foundation in 2005 and is an expert in ERP, Databases (SQL), Grant Management System, Electronic Document Management Systems, Microsoft Office suite, Electronic Banking Systems and IT Support. Over the years he adapted and designed General accounting and Grant accounting systems to meet the Foundation’s needs.
Fabrice joined the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in 2008 and is currently working as Co-Deputy Chief Investment Officer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. He is in charge of manager monitoring and selection, working closely with the Chief Investment Officer. Based in the Monte Carlo office, Fabrice also serves as the Assistant Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his involvement with the Foundation, Fabrice spent nine years as a Fund of Fund Manager at Credit Agricole Indosuez. Before Joining Indosuez he was employed at Banque Worms in Paris in the Middle Office Department of Options and Derivatives. Fabrice holds a Master Degree in Financial Engineering from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. He speaks French, English and Italian.
Bernard Guilbaud has been Chief Operating Officer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Monte Carlo office since 2010 and Senior Information Technology Officer since 2015. He joined the group in 2007 as Information Technology Manager and held the Chief Information Technology Officer position from 2009 until 2015. Formerly IT Manager and IT Engineer in two different companies in Monaco he carried out his military service as Signals Officer for the French Army at Allied Staff Berlin in 1989. He has an engineering degree in Networks and IT Systems from ESIGELEC in Rouen, France. He is married, has three children, speaks French and English and enjoys tennis.
Fabien Martinez is the Chief Financial Officer of the Monaco Office of the Foundation. He has been part of the finance team of the Foundation since 2011 and is involved in both reporting, financials and back-office duties. He holds a Finance and Accounting Diploma from the University of Grenoble in France, and professional certifications from the Belgian Banking Association (A.B.B.) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to joining the Foundation, he spent 13 years in the Banking industry in Belgium, France and Monaco for the Chase Manhattan Bank, Banque Bruxelles Lambert, Credit Immobilier de France and Credit Suisse.
Ange Munyakazi is a member of the SNF’s Programs Department since 2018. Prior to joining the SNF, she advocated for human and child rights issues for a variety of local and international organizations.
Rachel Seliniotakis is the Office Assistant/Receptionist of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Monaco office. She studied Public and International Corporate Relations at The Nice Sophia Antipolis University in Nice. She joined the Foundation in February 2014. Before that, she was working for the Cyprus consulate in Monaco, and she entered the philanthropic domain in 2011 working for the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. Rachel is an active member of the Greek Community of the Côte d’Azur – which organizes Greek events – and she takes care of all its public relations and is also responsible for the Greek Youth. She is Greek and French and speaks Greek, French and English.
