Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew places a cross around co-president of SNF Andreas Dracopoulos' neck honoring him as Archon Grand Orator

On Monday, November 1, Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos was invested as Archon Grand Orator (Megas Rhetor) by archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I.

This honor is given to those selected by the Ecumenical Patriarch for their service to the Church and for their overall contribution to society. The title, bestowed in person by Patriarch Bartholomew, was given to Andreas not only for his personal philanthropic work, but also in recognition of the 25 years of grantmaking in more than 135 countries SNF has completed under his leadership.
