An international conference on climate change from New Agriculture New Generation

Nov 08, 2021
Climate change already touches every sector of the economy, and its effects will only grow in the coming years. The agrifood sector, highly dependent on weather and climatic conditions, is one of the most vulnerable of all.

Against this backdrop, the nonprofit New Agriculture New Generation, with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), is holding an international online conference, “Climate Change: The Future of the Agrifood Sector,” on November 9-11, 2021.

The chain effects of climate change around the world affect the price, quantity, and quality of goods on the market and, consequently, trade flows, which in turn have an impact on agricultural income. In addition to the threats posed by climate change in the agrifood sector, the conference will highlight potential opportunities that may arise for those who are able to respond more effectively to the new challenges.

The conference will feature international academics and experts from the European Union and Greek Public Administration, from industry, from the markets, and from the wider agrifood sector.

Participating in the conference is free, and you can watch it through the organization’s YouTube channel.
